 A memorial service for former Affirmation President David Melson will be held on Saturday, October 12, at 2:00 PM at the headquarters of the Human Rights Campaign located at 1640 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington, DC 20036. Nearest Metro Stop: Farragut North.
 David served as Affirmation President for three terms (2009 – 2011). A Memorial Page dedicated to David is posted at www.affirmation.org/ DavidMelson.

Affirmation to Broadcast Conference Sessions
September 14 at 8:00 PM and September 15 at 11:30 AM, Mountain Time

 For the first time in its history, Affirmation will broadcast live via the internet two plenary sessions of our annual conference.
 On September 14, at 8:00 PM Mountain Time (UTC-06), we will broadcast An Evening of Affirmation, a program that will include speeches Judy Finch and Barb and Steve Young, a dance performance, and a musical number by the Affirmation Choir.
 On September 15, 11:30 AM Mountain Time (UTC-06), we will broadcast the Closing Luncheon, which will include the presentation of the 2013 Mortensen Award, a speech by Erika Munson, a musical performance by The One Choir. Brus Leguás Contreras, President of Affirmation Chile, will address the conference via Skype from his home in Chile.

Affirmation to Hold Nauvoo Retreat

 Affirmation is planning to hold a spiritual/leadership retreat in Nauvoo, IL, during the first weekend of May. The dates are May 2-4, 2014, but they may be extended from Thursday May 1 to Monday May 5.
